The Indie Musicians Collective (IMC) are a pop-up collective of DIY musicians who seek not to focus on a distinctive sound, but a melting pot of the different flavours of music you might find in a record store.

During lockdown, many artists were prevented from earning income from gigging and selling merchandise. Simultaneously, however, they were inspired to create more. With DIY artists also finding it incredibly difficult to distribute their physical products to market, I formed the IMC to help artists do just that.

We will be taking our first strides into the marketplace on 16 July 2022; we have a market stall at the Independent Label Market, in Kings Cross, London. Themed around the success of pop-up restaurants and bars, we will offer customers the chance to sample our prime cuts from our offline menu, featuring tracks from our first compilation album.

Despite the initial obstacles, we have come a long way. For physical distribution, we are partnering with Norman Records who are about to take stock of our product for sale to the general public.

What this demonstrates is the adaptability and tenacity of DIY artists in the face of adversity."

Too many reasons To be dead or feel the same Time chiropractor I’m broken, bone fix me again I’ve got many things to do But I don’t do I’ve got many things to share But I don’t share Indifference is everywhere So I don’t want and I don’t care Lying in a bath tub Washing hate and drowning pain Watching my hero From the picture with no frame I’ve got many things to do But I don’t do I’ve got many things to share But I don’t share Indifference is everywhere So I don’t want and I don’t care If I were a pig head Frying bacon would make me cry No place for me up there Soul traffic in the sky I’ve got many things to do But I don’t do I’ve got many things to share But I don’t share Indifference is everywhere So I don’t want and I don’t care

I saw your face today It didn’t look the same as when I saw it all those years ago I heard you laugh today It had changed maybe the laugh-less ones had stole it from your throne But tonight them clowns are laughing on the other side of their faces I can see them, but nobody ever dares go near them And I say to you, as you stand there frowning in your gloom Don’t you worry ‘bout me ‘coz I’m the million $ man I’ll live up in my tree and follow my sweet masterplan Now don’t you worry ‘bout me I’ll sing along to all the bands Yeah you can join me if you just reach up grab my hand Today I ran away Ran to a place where I could hide away the things, they shall not see If I could shine a light I’d shine a light so bright that no one in the world will ever see me Reach up grab my hand.

You don’t know where it began You held hope in time unfolding But it’s all in your hands In your self-healing heart The words are on paper through silent cries found Like a fountain without water All penny-less and dry Like a child without a dream To guide them through night It is the voice of reason Like a soothing lullaby Standing upon the shore Looking out to sunrise And as the words on the paper take flight in your mind You ask yourself can a song save your life. It is the arms of a hero As they cradle you tight Like the strength of euphoria Lifting you high And as the words wrote on paper flow free with the tide You ask yourself can a song save your life

I was lying drunk on the floor I think somebody was speaking to me Just let me lie here with nothing to do As long as I lie here everything will wait Come on, speak to me! What have I done? Oh please, just tell me Did I play games? Did I have fun? Oh please, tell me cause I need to know I drank that bottle just to test my mouth I don’t remember what I said I just want to know if this good or bad My bed’s a cold place So far away Don’t know how I got here Did I play games? Did I have fun? Oh please just tell me
